Agency Branding and Web Site Launch - Response Mine InteractiveResponse Mine is a leader in the search engine marketing space. You would not know that from looking at the old site. Like many agencies, our late nights went into keeping the paying customers happy, often at the expense of our own appearance.
From RFP through to site launch I had my mitts in the machinery, and look upon the effort with great satisfaction. We went from a dark and gloomy old home that had some scary imagery and a scattered manner of describing what we did and why our customers loved us to a clean, bright and concise presentation of the agencies many virtues.
Getting management attention (and buy-in) on critical elements like logo, color palette and the all important elevator speech (who are we again?) was the success enabler. Everything after that was just arm-twisting, begging and pleading.
We picked our favorite puppy out a nice litter of comps and were able to program it in record time in part because I spent a bunch of time really hardening up the wire frame. Design work was mostly down to Mike Nizinski (check out his great stuff here. Outstanding job on the flash elements).
I wrote about 90% of the copy and relied on domain experts to top it up. Print collateral production and the creation of a trade show presence were the final elements of the rebranding exercise.
I had a lot of help from skilled people I would be happy to refer you to. Everybody's efforts reached a crescendo (or near mental collapse --- hard to tell sometimes) just in time for our exhibition at Shop.org in Las Vegas in Sept 2007. We looked great, won some new business.
I ended up $1,100 up on the black-jack tables. Victory!
